Research and Development (R&D)

As a Research & Development Specialist at GLOMAX, you will be working alongside some of the brightest minds in the coatings industry. You will play a crucial role in driving innovation and advancing our product portfolio to meet our ambitious growth targets. On projects, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, engineers, and marketing professionals, to develop cutting-edge formulations and enhance product performance. You will conduct in-depth research, perform rigorous testing, and utilize data-driven insights to create sustainable, high-quality paint solutions that set new industry standards. Your work will span from initial concept development to product launch, addressing complex challenges in a variety of applications and markets. The role is based out of Southeast Asia, but given GLOMAX’s global presence, international travel for client engagements and research collaborations may be expected.

Requirements:

• Minimum D3 in Chemical Engineering or S1 in Pure Chemistry.
• At least 3 years of experience as R&D – QC in Paint.
• Understanding of paint raw materials.
• Strong analytical skills and research methods.
• Knowledge of the characteristics of paint raw materials.
• Creative, innovative, and able to work independently.
• Good English language skills (a plus).
• Proficient in computer skills (MS Office).
• Placement in Cirarab, Legok, Tangerang.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct product research and development.
• Responsible for creating and testing paint formulas at a laboratory scale.
• Responsible for managing raw material costs in the formulas created.
• Develop paint formulations and raw material compositions.
• Monitor and ensure that the formulas to be produced meet the company’s standards.
• Coordinate with related departments to achieve product targets.
• Prepare monthly reports.
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality within the R&D environment.
• Able to work under pressure.
